Term 2 begins just five weeks from Monday. Begin thinking about possible concentration topics. As you know, you will be creating 8 pieces that explore a specific them or area in depth.
1. Please post 5 different themes or concentration topics of interest to the blog by Monday October 17th. Please post at least one image that relates conceptually to one of your topics. It can be a photo, painting, or drawing-something that you find inspirational and technically successful.
2. Take some time to view sample concentration projects of AP 2D Design high school students.

Take note of the scores the portfolios received and read the judge's explanation of why the student's concentration received the score it did.
3. Also begin to look seriously at other artists' work (I can recommend some to you once I know your interests). Begin to develop one of your topics further over the coming weeks. I am available to help outside of class time if you would like to meet and discuss your ideas.
We will be presenting concentrations the first week of term 2.
